Indonesian Regulation of Minister Law and Human Rights No. 26 of 2020 has just published to arrange e-Visa is replacing visa sticker/label. The procedure of e-Visa exactly will not the same with the regular visa application. It will be very easy and transparent process. What is e-Visa Indonesia? What is the benefit of e-Visa? and How to get it? Here we go!

What is e-Visa?

Electronic visa is a visa transformation from visa label or visa sticker on your passport to an electronic form sending to your email. Here is you do not require to collect the visa in person at Indonesia Embassy or representatives  overseas.

What is the benefit of e-Visa?

  • You can do e-Visa application by online on visa-online.imigrasi.go.id  so you  can apply the visa anytime and lodge your documents anywhere.
  • Visa will be sent to your email or sponsor. It will save your time because you do not need to come to Indonesia Embassy to get the visa.
  • You will not meet an officer when applying the visa. You do not need to appear at the issuing office. In the new normal and following health protocol to do social distancing, Indonesian government is trying to minimize physical contact.
  • Once your e-Visa is granted, you can directly travel to Indonesia. Just sit back and relax!

How to get it?

Applying for e-Visa approval is easy, just take a few steps, and make sure your entries are complete along with required documents, so your application is eligible to be approved.

  1. A sponsor or an applicant must sign up for an account to be granted a username and password at visa-online.imigrasi.go.id and make an online application through that website.
  2. After you receive an email notification, input data and upload your required documents. Make sure your data and documents are correct and not suspected of authenticity (edited products), if application rejected the money is not refundable.
  3. After receiving a billing payment, must complete the payment before seven days billing payment issued.
  4. Then you just wait your application will be verified.
  5. Your e-Visa which is either granted and refused will be sent to your email or sponsor’s email.

Both offshore and onshore overall have the same steps, the different is for onshore visa after e-Visa is granted while staying in Indonesia must proceed to a designated immigration office.
