Jembrana Police are investigating a case where a junior high school student in Mendoyo was allegedly offered money to post a “sexy” photo on her BBM profile to advertise a coffee product.
A photo going around shows the young woman posing in her school uniform, cigarette in hand, and thigh tat exposed.
The teen, identified by initials AL, is understood to have been offered Rp 100,000 per eight hour time frame that the photo was up.
A member of the Jembrana District Police who declined to be named said investigators are now searching for all parties involved in the case.
Because the 15-year-old girl is a minor, police say this social media arrangement for her to work as a promoter is not only inappropriate but illegal.
Jembrana Police Chief Gusti Made Sudarma Putra told Merdeka that police have summoned ABC Coffee, the brand in question to address the investigation.
Apparently police have found out that there was no written contract for the arrangement.
Meanwhile, AL has not been shy about the situation. After she was brought into police custody on Saturday night, she claimed that she was hired as a sales promotion girl for six days, from Wednesday, May 11, until Monday, May 16. The young woman said though that she was only able to work for four of those days.
But AL also said that she had not yet received any payment for her promotion work, according to Merdeka.
