Holiday-goers planning trips to Bali from Oz have just lost a cheap flight option as AirAsia has announced the cancellation of flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Bali.
People who have booked flights for honeymoons and holidays for the coming months are surely the biggest losers of the situation though as their plans have just been rattled.
The AirAsia flights, that only launched back in 2015, will end on September 1.
Customers who had booked tickets for the route apparently got the news from AirAsia via text message, but didn’t get any explanation why.
But an AirAsia spokesman later said that the routes getting cut was “part of a network restructuring aimed at improving operations efficiencies”, the Herald Sun reported.
Not that everyone’s too pleased with this response, but AirAsia has offered customers who booked flights after the service ends (so after August 31) to move their booking to an earlier date depending on availability or get a full refund or credit, or get rerouted via KL.
