Singers Andien and Tompi serenaded passengers on a Garuda flight from Jakarta to Denpasar, Bali, in celebration of Valentine’s Day on Thursday.  The flagship carrier’s second #GIAcoustic event was titled “Love is in the air” and saw a full house with 396 passengers, consisting of 373 in economy class and 23 in business class.

“We hope to be a new choice for people who want to enjoy a different experience in air travel with a live acoustic music performance by their favorite singers,” Garuda Indonesia president director Ari Askhara said in a statement.

Ari added that the second #GIAcoustic event had been promoted to the public far ahead of departure, noting that passengers flying on GA 4182 on Thursday were mostly Tompi and Andien fans who were looking for a different experience by flying, meeting and enjoying favorite songs by their favorite singers.

The #GIAcoustic in-flight performances are expected to be a new platform in presenting Indonesian singers’ acoustic music performances for Indonesian music lovers performed on airplanes.

In the latest #GIAcoustic event singers Andien and Tompi sang three songs for 15 minutes as the plane cruised and the passengers finished lunch. The two jazz vocalists collaborated specifically for the passengers heading to Denpasar.
