Indonesia to Showcase Bali, Lake Toba, and More at ITB India 2025
Indonesia is gearing up to highlight its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking scenic destinations, and wellness tourism at ITB India 2025. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia aims to attract up to 800,000 Indian tourists by emphasizing the country’s diverse offerings, including the famed island of Bali and other natural and cultural treasures.
Event Details and Indonesian Participation
ITB India 2025, scheduled from September 2nd to 4th at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, will feature Indonesia as a key highlight. Indonesia will have a vibrant pavilion presenting a wide range of travel experiences to Indian attendees. This initiative underscores Indonesia’s commitment to valuing the Indian travel market and strengthening bilateral tourism ties.
Prior to the event, the Ministry organized Business Matching sessions in Kolkata and Bengaluru on August 27 and 29. These sessions enabled Indonesian tourism stakeholders to directly connect with Indian buyers, fostering collaborations and boosting the presence of Indonesian tourism products in the Indian market. Over 29 sellers from Indonesia participated, signaling strong engagement ahead of the trade show.
Highlighting Indonesia’s Top Tourist Destinations
The Indonesia pavilion at ITB India will showcase iconic and emerging destinations such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Lake Toba, and Labuan Bajo. Participants can expect to experience cultural performances, arts workshops, and immersive presentations that reflect Indonesia’s vibrant traditions.
Bali, long regarded as Indonesia’s tourism crown jewel, will be prominently featured for its stunning beaches, warm climate, and lush rice terraces. Alongside Bali, newer destinations like Lake Toba in North Sumatra—renowned for its volcanic landscapes and cultural significance—will be promoted. Other notable sites include the Borobudur Park, home to the world’s largest Buddhist temple, and the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, celebrated for its majestic volcanic scenery. Emerging spots like Raja Ampat, a diver’s paradise, and Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park, will also be spotlighted, emphasizing Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable and regenerative tourism.

In response to the rising global demand for wellness tourism, Indonesia will emphasize its ancient healing traditions at ITB India 2025. A special feature will be the daily presentations of jamu, a traditional herbal drink known for its health benefits.
