This prestigious accolade was announced at the 32nd annual World Travel Awards (WTA), held in Hong Kong on Monday, October 13, 2025. Competing Amongst Asia’s Finest
The 2025 category for Asia’s Most Romantic Destination featured three leading contenders: Bali (Indonesia), Ko Samui (Thailand), and Siem Reap (Cambodia). Bali emerged as the clear winner, continuing its remarkable streak in this category and solidifying its reputation as a premier romantic getaway in Asia.
In addition to this honor, Bali also received the title of Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination 2025, surpassing other top destinations such as Cebu (the Philippines), Ko Samui (Thailand), and Langkawi (Malaysia). This dual recognition highlights Bali’s broad appeal not only for romantic vacations but also as a sought-after location for dream weddings.
