Bali Welcomes Record 697,000 Foreign Tourists in July 2025, Highest Monthly Arrival This Year

Denpasar, Indonesia – Bali has experienced a robust surge in international tourism in July 2025, marking the highest number of foreign tourist arrivals recorded so far this year. According to the recent data released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Bali in Denpasar, a total of 697,107 international visitors arrived directly in Bali during July, demonstrating a significant increase in foreign arrivals to the island.

Growth Trends in Tourist Arrivals

The July figures represent a 9.29 percent increase from the 637,868 arrivals recorded in June 2025, which itself had already shown growth compared to May’s 602,213 visitors. This consistent upward trajectory highlights a strong recovery and expansion in Bali’s tourism sector during the high season.

Ari Kurnianto, Head of the Public Relations Team at BPS Bali, explained, “During the high season, the number of international arrivals via air in July rose by 9.30 percent month-on-month, although arrivals by sea declined.” He further noted that the growth factors contributing to these arrivals are partly seasonal, including Australia’s winter school holidays and heatwave warnings in parts of Europe, encouraging more tourists to visit the island.
