According to Commissioner Ariasandy, the twelve security guards, including the head of security, a 53-year-old named INM, were arrested based on evidence that included surveillance footage and witness statements. “The report handled by the Bali Police Criminal Investigation Directorate has named MR as a suspect and detained him,” Commissioner Ariasandy stated. He further elaborated that the police received a report from the group of foreign tourists involved and conducted investigations that revealed procedural errors in how the security staff managed the guests during the incident.

Ariasandy explained that footage from CCTV cameras at the venue showed that the security guards not only failed to manage the situation appropriately but also continued to assault the foreign tourists outside of the club, which was beyond their jurisdiction. “When the foreigner was secured, they still beat him. Tied up, still kicked and beaten. That’s what triggered the foreigner or his friend to get angry,” he added.
