Karangasem, Bali – February 26, 2025

In a bid to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety, the Karangasem Police Traffic Unit commenced a series of monitoring and traffic management operations on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The operations were strategically set to begin at 6:30 AM local time at the frequently congested Ktl 2 intersection near the Kodim military headquarters.

The presence of traffic police is deemed crucial in managing the substantial vehicular activity that typically occurs during the morning rush hours. Officers from the Karangasem Police Traffic Unit are deployed to monitor and regulate traffic, aiming to alleviate congestion in the area and prevent potential traffic accidents. The Ktl 2 intersection has been identified as a particularly high-traffic zone, prompting the need for ongoing surveillance.

During the morning operations, traffic personnel were observed diligently performing their duties, ensuring that vehicles could navigate through the intersection smoothly. Their efforts not only promote fluidity in traffic but also provide a sense of security for road users, thereby fostering a safe environment for commuters.

AKP Made Erdiana Putra, the Head of the Traffic Unit at the Karangasem Police, emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and enforcement. He noted, "Our traffic unit must consistently carry out surveillance, management, and regulation of traffic as outlined in our scheduled directives. The goal is to ensure the security and smooth operation of community activities around the Ktl 2 intersection. We are committed to preventing congestion and enhancing safety as the traffic flow in this area is quite dense."

Moreover, the traffic personnel are equipped to take immediate action against any observed violations, employing an electronic ticketing system (E-tilang) to address infractions that could lead to accidents. The proactive engagement by the traffic unit seeks not only to uphold the law but also to safeguard the lives of those navigating through this busy intersection.

With a keen focus on traffic management, the Karangasem Police are taking significant steps to ensure that all road users can travel safely and efficiently.
