A video showing the installation of Wisnu’s giant four-ton head to the statue’s body at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park in Jimbaran, Bali has been quickly going viral.

The video was uploaded by Balinese artist Nyoman Nuarta, the head sculptor, to his Instagram account on Monday, already receiving over 2.5 million views since it was first posted. In the video’s caption, Nuarta mentions that Wisnu’s head weighs about four tons and that the head had to be lifted by crane.

“It was lifted using a crane. Cranes cannot operate if wind speeds exceed 10 kilometers/hour, so dangerous. Yesterday, the wind speed was stable, so the installation of the head was safe,” Nuarta said, as quoted by Grid.id.

The giant statue that’s been years in the making is set for its long overdue completion in August 2018 and is poised to stand 121 meters tall.

The statue will sit on a pedestal, or building base, which will function as a restaurant that can serve up to 500 people. There will also be a museum and a viewing gallery which will allow a panoramic vista of the rest of South Bali.
