Qantas Will Now Fly You to Bali All Year

Share This Post:

Qantas has had so much success with its summer-holiday flights to Bali, it’s decided to keep the spirit of the summer holidays happening all year round.

The flag carrier has announced it would extend its seasonal Sydney to Denpasar route to a year-round schedule from March.

The Bali service will be operated by a two-class Boeing 737 and fares will include checked baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment, and food and drinks.

The flights will depart from Sydney on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week.

Jetstar, Qantas’ budget carrier, will remain the biggest airline operating between Australian and Bali, offering 60 return services a week.

But Qantas International chief executive Gareth Evans said year-round Qantas flights would increase choice for travellers.

“The combination of Qantas and Jetstar means we can give our customers the maximum range of options for their visit to Bali,” he said.

“That’s important for a destination which caters to different budgets and tastes.

“We’ve had a fantastic response to Qantas’ seasonal service, especially from our frequent flyers, so we felt the time was right to go year-round.”

Previously, Qantas’ seasonal daily Sydney to Denpasar flights operated between December and March.

The new year-round schedule will begin from March 26.

“For the past couple of years, we’ve been taking a more agile, flexible approach to our Asian network — responding to growing demand where we see it — and this is the latest example of that strategy in action,” Mr Evans said.
