Maya Ubud Resort & Spa Achieve Travelife Gold Certification

Maya Ubud Resort & Spa is delighted to announce that together with sister properties, Candi Beach Resort & Spa and Legian Beach Hotel, it is proof recipient of a Travelife Gold Certificate. All three properties are key players in Bali’s tourism industry and this achievement represents an ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Establish in 2007, Travelife is a web-based certification system that enables hotels to monitor and self-access their sustainability performance. Through consultation with multiple tourism stakeholders and academics, the whole system is based on a set of exacting guidelines. Travelife is now accepted as a credible tool within the global travel and tourism industry.

The prestigious accolade acknowledges that each property has respectively taken measures to uphold suistability. This has been achieved through continued efforts to protect the environment and preserve the island’s unique cultural heritage. Other certification components include respecting the local community and implementing fair employment practices as a business leader in Bali’s hospitality sector.

Upon presentation, Mr. Peter Arya, in his capacity as joint owner of the three properties said, “It is indeed a great honour to be recognized by Travelife as this certification reinforces our long-term commitment to suistainability. Bali is a premier tourism destination and so it is so crucial that we all join forces and take the necessary steps to maintain and enhance the island for the benefit of future generations.”
