The full cast of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child theater production in London was revealed on Tuesday. Images of Harry, Ginny, and Albus Potter were shared on the official Harry Potter Play Twitter account.
Harry Potter – the 19-years-later version — is to be played by Jamie Parker. Harry still has the legendary scar and round-framed glasses, but now wears a suit. J.K. Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter books, thinks Jamie Parker embodies Harry Potter perfectly. She told Pottermore, “He simply is Harry now. There’s a kind of relief in watching him. He gets it so right”.
The role of Harry’s wife, Ginny Potter, will be taken on by Poppy Miller, who is known for her work in “Macbeth” and “Twelfth Night”. Actor Sam Clemmett fills the role of Albus Severus Potter. Prior to taking on the role of Albus, Sam starred in both “Lord of the Flies” and “Wendy and Peter Pan”.
