Grab, the online taxi company that just took over Uber last week, and cooperative group Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants (Kophrindo), yesterday inaugurated the Grab-Kophrindo booth at the International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai, which is now an easy and secure meeting point for passengers and Grab drivers.

The booth at the domestic arrivals area is intended to facilitate tourists arriving on the island to get an online taxi without the hassle and expense associated with the local airport taxi operators.

“Through the cooperation with Kophrindo and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, which has been in process since December 2017, Grab supports the efforts to improve the transportation services to and from the airport by having the Grab-Kophrindo meeting point booth in the arrivals area which will facilitate the connection between our drivers and customers,” said Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director, Grab Indonesia.

“We are very proud to cooperate with Grab in improving options for tourists on the island of a thousand temples. The presence of this booth we hope will help sustain the transport infrastructure in the Ngurah Rai International Airport and provide more choices for tourists,” said Weri Sulasmiaty, Chairman of Kophrindo.

Southeast Asia continues to develop into a major destination for tourists from around the world. Grab’s presence in 196 cities across Southeast Asia makes it a true transportation leader in the region.
