Some 150 participants from 30 delegations have arrived in Bali for the 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Leaders Summit.

Elena Cabezas Alcala, a delegate from Spain, was excited to see Bali’s iconic destinations, such as Jatiluwih and Tanah Lot.

“This is a very rare opportunity for me,” she said.

Jatiluwih rice terrace is a tourism village known for its stunning views of rice terraces spreading out from the foot of the mountain to the coast. Located only 54 kilometers from Denpasar, the site has been listed as one of UNESCO’s World Heritag Sites.

Tanah Lot, on the other hand, is one of Bali’s most iconic landmark famous for its Hindu temple, which stands on a large rock just off the shore.

In addition to visiting tourist attractions, participants also went to Bumi Perkemahan Margarana in Tabanan where they met with Balinese scouts and had an opportunity to plant trees as a way to help revive the environment.
