More improvements are afoot down at the airport as Angkasa Pura announces new premium parking zones at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The plan is that the premium parking zones will come online in August and for premium users, the cost to park your fancy car right in front of the departure entrance will cost you a meager Rp. 20,000.

Angkasa Pura I Communication and Legal Section spokesperson, Arie Ahsanurrohim explained that the premium parking zone service is another breakthrough for the airport to improve services for users. The premium parking zone is only intended for four-wheeled vehicles and is expected to begin in August.

“Indeed, this service has been found in many malls in Bali and in other big cities. However, it will be the first time it is applied to a space like an airport. The hope is that we can provide maximum service for the users of both terminals,” he said, Sunday (4/28) afternoon.

Arie explained, the premium parking zone will be subject to a tariff of Rp 20,000 per entry, plus the cost of the ordinary entrance ticket and the premium parking zone will be sited in front of the domestic and international terminals.

In addition to preparing the new parking zones, AP I is currently working hard to make other improvements too. One of them is to provide a digital payment system at the main exit. Arie stated that the digital system is expected to help with congestion at the front gate at busy times.

“Parking at the airport continues to be increased and with the digital system, the whole process should become more secure and streamlined,” according to Arie.
