New Bali Flight Service Enhances Affordable Travel and Connectivity for Tourists
Denpasar, Bali – November 24, 2025
Travelers to Bali can now enjoy additional affordable flight options as a new airline service has been introduced, further expanding the island’s accessibility. I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali’s sole international gateway, has welcomed low-cost Indonesian carrier TransNusa’s new flight route connecting Denpasar with Singapore. This addition complements Bali’s existing international flight offerings and provides travelers with more flexible, budget-friendly choices.
TransNusa’s Entry Into a Competitive Route
TransNusa’s launch of the Denpasar–Singapore service marks a significant development in Bali’s air connectivity, especially for budget-conscious tourists and frequent flyers. The airline will operate flights six times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays—giving passengers near-daily options to tailor travel schedules to their convenience.
Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, General Manager of Bali Airport, highlighted the importance of this new route during the launch event. He noted that the Denpasar–Singapore corridor remains one of the busiest and most strategic international routes for Bali, now served by a total of nine airlines. The addition of TransNusa solidifies the airport’s position as a key regional hub and offers enhanced competitive pricing for travelers.
Advantages of the Denpasar–Singapore Route
The service not only benefits tourists and business travelers commuting between Indonesia and Singapore but also provides strategic advantages for those taking long-haul journeys to Bali. Singapore’s Changi International Airport, frequently recognized as the world’s best airport, is known for its smooth transit facilities and first-rate amenities, offering an ideal layover experience.
Shahab emphasized that the expansion of routes from Bali demonstrates strong confidence in Bali’s tourism market potential and aligns with Indonesia’s broader goal of developing Bali as a world-class tourism and transit hub.
Broader Connectivity and Future Prospects
Earlier in 2025, TransNusa made strides by launching its Guangzhou–Bali–Perth route, adding another valuable connection for travelers seeking swift and efficient transit through Bali. TransNusa’s CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, explained that the new routes were designed to provide passengers with seamless, fast connections, enhancing Bali’s role as a regional aviation link.
With these developments, passengers can take advantage of quick layovers—ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 hours—between Bali, Guangzhou, and Perth, offering unprecedented convenience for international travel.
Preparing for the Festive Travel Season
As December approaches, Bali Airport is preparing for a surge in tourist arrivals, with expectations of over one million visitors traveling through the airport during the peak holiday season. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead to navigate the busy period smoothly.
Key recommendations include booking airport taxi services in advance, obtaining eVisa on Arrival electronically, completing arrival forms via the All Indonesia App, and pre-ordering local SIM cards to stay connected immediately upon arrival. Additionally, travelers should allot extra time for transit to the airport, as road traffic in Bali during peak travel times can be particularly congested.
The introduction of TransNusa’s Denpasar–Singapore flights, combined with existing routes and improved traveler services, marks a positive step toward making Bali more accessible and affordable for visitors worldwide. As Bali continues to expand its international connections, tourists are presented with more options, enhanced convenience, and increased opportunities to experience the Island of the Gods.
