The group, consisting of 13 Chinese nationals, was journeying from Denpasar, Bali’s capital city, to the northern region of Buleleng. According to local police chief Widwan Sutadi, the minibus driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a collision with another car. This maneuver caused the minibus to veer off the road and fall into the ravine.

Emergency responders quickly transported the injured passengers to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, five of the tourists were pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver sustained injuries but survived the accident.
