Bali Airport Launches New Direct Flight Route to Mumbai, India

Denpasar, October 20, 2025 — I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has inaugurated a new direct flight connection to Mumbai, India, enhancing the island’s international air connectivity and strengthening tourism and economic ties between Indonesia and India.

The announcement came from Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, the General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, who confirmed that the new route operated by IndiGo Airlines now connects Bali with three major Indian cities: Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru. This expansion signifies a growing partnership and increasing demand for travel between these two countries.

The inaugural flight landed in Bali on October 18 aboard an IndiGo Airbus A320, flight number 6E 1607, at 4:00 p.m. local time, carrying 173 passengers. After a brief turnaround, the aircraft departed for Mumbai at 5:45 p.m. as flight 6E 1608. The Mumbai-Bali service is scheduled to operate daily, providing convenience for travelers on both ends.

The addition of the Mumbai flight supports Bali’s ambitions to be a primary destination for Indian travelers. With IndiGo and Air India now serving flights to and from India, connectivity between Indonesia and India is set to strengthen further.
