Vietnam Airlines Expands Southeast Asia Connectivity with New Ho Chi Minh City–Bali Direct Route

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – March 10, 2025 – Vietnam Airlines has revealed plans to launch a direct flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar, Bali, set to commence on June 1, 2025. This development is expected to significantly enhance air travel connectivity between Vietnam and Indonesia, catering to both tourists and business travelers.

Direct Flights Begin in June

The inaugural flight on this new route will provide travelers with seamless access to Bali, a popular destination renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural experiences. This marks Vietnam Airlines’ second direct route to Indonesia, increasing its total weekly flights between the two nations to 14. Initially, the airline will operate four round-trip flights per week, scheduled for Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. At a recent launch event, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam, Denny Abdi, highlighted the crucial role that improved air connectivity plays in promoting tourism and fostering economic cooperation between the two countries. "With Ho Chi Minh City being the economic hub of Vietnam and Bali recognized as a premier tourist hotspot, this route is likely to boost two-way travel as well as business exchanges," stated Abdi.

The direct link is anticipated to stimulate a surge in tourism from Vietnam to Indonesia and vice versa, thereby strengthening bilateral relations.
